Project “3D garment production with new biobased materials” is a research project originally initiated by Karin Vlug, currently funded by the Creative Industries Fund NL. The upcoming year new collaborations with material designers are initiated to create biobased garments directly in 3D. Through prototyping and a research through design approach we develop a design- and production method for designers and producers when garments can be made around 3d moulds using new biobased materials.
